I would like to take this opportunity to wish you a happy New Year and I hope that 2026 is kind to all of us.
My Christmas and New Year were family based and it was lovely to have our youngest son home for a while. We ended up with two Christmas dinners in fact – one on Christmas Day and one on the Saturday when my other son, partner and the grandchildren came round. (Then things got very noisy with a race track down the staircase!!)
I enjoyed the holiday, especially as we have kept up our walking every day and I loved doing family history research, writing and crochet, but I am quite looking forward to getting back into some sort of routine. It is a weird almost timeless period and I even started to be unsure what day it was!
I don’t make New Year’s resolutions these days but I do have a few things that I would like to achieve in 2026. I wish you well with your New Year plans and hope that you come back to read my blogs through the year as I have plenty of guest posts to share.

HNY to you too. I broke my fibula on Boxing Day playing rugby with grandchildren!!!! Mad me. So I’m incapacitated at present. HATE being inactive. Stupid me.
Wishing you well for the coming year.
Thanks for all your support.

I saw your post and told my boys not to let me play rugby with my grandsons! Hope you heal quickly and best wishes for the new year!
