Thank you so much, Morton for the invitation to join you here today. I’ve decided to talk about the place I go to relax as it ties in perfectly with my latest publishing venture, The Cornish Escapes Collection. Cornwall, where I grew up, remains at the top of my list when it comes to the perfect place to relax. As soon as I cross the Tamar River, preferably by train for the best views, I feel different. My time there becomes an opportunity to reconnect with family, old friends and the place that shaped me. I enjoy traveling to other countries and new places, but in Cornwall I’m rarely under any pressures to do anything other than relax and simply be.
After 20 years as a published author The Cornish Escapes Collection is my first dip into self-publishing. It consists of three cosy romances, all set in Cornwall, that were originally published as pocket novels for The People’s Friend and My Weekly. Each of the three books – Every New Tomorrow, Escape to Cornwall and Home at Last – centres around characters who face various challenges, and Cornwall plays an important part in reshaping their lives and opening them up to a brighter future.
