For those of you who have been waiting for an update on my French polishing course. I am very happy with my finished items. I found the course very interesting, but also exhausting. I don’t think I would have taken such a complicated table if I had known I’d have to sand each surface about fifty times!
At least I won’t be frightened to tackle a piece of furniture myself in the future, as I think I was the dunce of the class making every mistake possible, lol! Consequently, I know the remedial actions for most problems during the process. The final results are lovely though. Before, progress and after pics below.
I’ve been on another short two-hour course since to make a felted landscape picture! I really am a course junkie. This one was held at Bodenham Arboretum, Wolverley, Kidderminster.
