A Taste Of Things To Come

After a relatively quiet start to 2026 blog wise, I have a flurry of guest authors appearing on the blog over the next few weeks. Look out for Lucy Mitchell, Georgia Hill, Kirsty Ferry, Victoria Walker, Sally Jenkins and Natalie Normann coming soon to my blog to talk about their exciting new books.

Last week I went into Birmingham to meet up with fellow authors from the Romantic Novelists’ Association Birmingham Chapter. It was lovely to chat over lunch and I always feel better after realising that fellow authors are facing the same challenges and doubts.

It is the award ceremony for the RNA Romantic Novel of the Year Awards 2026 in London later today (18 May 2026) and I wish all of the contenders, particularly those I know personally, the best of luck for their category wins.

The days seem to pass so quickly! Hubbie and I are trying to get fitter and lose weight and we are achieving this progressively – I think it helps that we are working towards a goal together. We are enjoying our walks and are now quite good at recognising the birdsong we hear along the way. I am enjoying my family history research, even though several brick walls are frustrating me and continue to crochet in the evenings. Writing wise I have had a little bit of a break to regroup and decide my future direction, but I can now feel that little itch of a need to write soon that other authors will recognise. So, watch this space …

To blog or not to blog this is the question. I have been blogging now since 2008 and would be sad to stop, but  I am noticing less engagement with my blog of late, I suspect because there is so much content online these days. If you have any suggestions about what you would like to see here on my page, or you would like to feature on the blog, please comment below or message me.
